If you are dating a gamer, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re dating a gamer.
For some people the term gamer refers to people who play all kind of games, e.g. pen&paper, arcade games, casino, poker, card, rommey, magic, or any other game. Other people only speak of a “gamer” if the person is playing video games only.
A (video)gamer is typically playing video games only, but might also be interested in card and table games.
The typical attitude towards gaming is:
Gaming is boring and a waste of time, it’s for losers!
Usually those people spend their time watching the most ridiculous tv shows and has no creativity at all.
A “gamer” is in general is a very active, creative person who would rather do things than watching them on tv.
