Have you been playing World of Warcaft, short WoW, for a while? Are you looking for a girlfriend that shares your passion for the MMO? There are more female gamers than many would think. Many female gamers simply don’t like to tell others about her gaming passion.

World of Warcraft dating sites are rare, your best chance is to go to a normal dating site and search for people by interest. If you find any gamers, you might have luck that they also play World of Warcraft.

Unfortunately, there’s no real WoW dating site, but if you are interested, please leave a comment and we will start one for you.

Another place where you could be looking for a WoW date is obviously your local WoW forum. It’s quite common that female gamers like to hang around on forums and talk about the game (rather than play it).

There are casual gamers and hardcore gamers. A pro gamer is usually someone who is competing with others in a league, like the electronic sports league (ESL).

Pro-gamer usually have just one goal in mind - to get better. Professional gamers sometimes even get sponsored by big companies.

If you are dating a gamer, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re dating a gamer.

For some people the term gamer refers to people who play all kind of games, e.g. pen&paper, arcade games, casino, poker, card, rommey, magic, or any other game. Other people only speak of a “gamer” if the person is playing video games only.

A (video)gamer is typically playing video games only, but might also be interested in card and table games.

The typical attitude towards gaming is:

Gaming is boring and a waste of time, it’s for losers!

Usually those people spend their time watching the most ridiculous tv shows and has no creativity at all.

A “gamer” is in general is a very active, creative person who would rather do things than watching them on tv.

In the past online dating was considered odd & strange, but those days are gone - after all we are living in a globalized world with dozens of virtual online worlds. Online dating makes more sense! Why?

Well, unfortunately there aren’t any real dating sites for gamers, where only gamers hang out.
However, there are many site where the chances to find a hot gamer chick/guy are higher than average. You will also be able to sort people by interest, which will help you to find a real gamer!

2.) They’re useful. In this tech-savvy world, it’s great to have a b/f who can make your laptop, desktop, and just about anything else that plugs into a wall behave itself.

3.) They’re more romantic than they’re given credit for. Ok true, their idea of romance might be to make up a spiffy web-page with all the reasons why they love you, with links to pics of you and sonnets and such… but hey. It lasts longer than flowers, plus you can show your friends.

4.) Due to their neglected status, there are plenty to choose from. You like ‘em tall and slender? There are plenty of geeks/nerds who are. You like ‘em smaller with more meat on their bones? Got that too.

5.) They’ve got brains. Come on now, how can intelligence be a bad thing?

Dating online is very popular. Finding the “perfect” match seems to be so much easier online. If you are a gamer or geek you will have a higher chance to find a good match online, because many sites allow to sort people by many criteria, for example profession and interests. The more things you have in common, the better! This is especially important if your hobbies are a very important part of your life.

Alright, so where do I find dating sites for gamers or geeks? You can find them if you follow the links at the end of the article, but first I want to give you some tips for a first date.

Things to consider when you first meet someone: confidence and body language:

Self-confidence. You can improve your self-confidence by thinking about something you have achieved in life (even it is just a small thing) and when you feel uncomfortable, make it the first thing that comes to your mind. Then say to yourself that this can’t be more “difficult”. At least that helped me a lot!

Watch your body language. Body Language is a very important part of your appearance. Only true actors (usually not even them) can really control their body language when they feel uncomfortable, so you should try to make yourself feel at home.

Relax!

Women are People after all.

A lot of guys put women up on a pedestal. Women love feeling special, but you should not start to act like they are above you or they are going to think they are too good for you. Treat them equally.

Most importantly do not try to be someone else. Do not change at all if you don’t feel like it. You could try to open yourself a bit more, but you don’t have to. Quiet people attract a lot of women, because they are a lot more interesting than the average chatterbox.
